JApix: the Photography of Jim Alcorn
ABOUT
I am a professional photographer and photo editor with a wide variety of services available. I have photos from my lifetime from local locations, across the country, and around the world. I am available to hire for photo shoots including portraits, headshots, location shoots, events (including parties, baptisms & weddings), sports, real estate (interior and exterior), breaking news, and more. I shoot with top notch equipment and have a photojournalist's eye. I am a member of NPPA and can be found on their website as well.
If you wish to order jpeg photos from my site or need a print, feel free to contact me at japix@me.com. I am also able to scan in your negatives, slides, or old prints and convert them into digital.
In the past 20 years, I have been the Deputy Photo Editor at NY Daily News, Deputy Assignment Editor at NY Post, staff photographer at NY Post and a freelance photographer all over New York City and the surrounding area.
I grew up in Western Pennsylvania. Got a 126 Kodak instamatic camera from my father when I was only 12. I started shooting with that little camera just for fun. "Grandpa Jones" and dolphins at Sea World were my early photos. I became "citified" while I was in college at Nyack College in Rockland County, N.Y. I was in the City every week. I am very good with people, pets, and landscapes/real estate (interiors and exteriors), concerts, press conferences, courts, portraits (individual and group), and church events.
